Day 3 Week 1

Chris is in...

I realized today that Chris is not as excited about this as I am. He is only going along with it because I suggested we do it together. He started his "food journal" today which means he sent me a text every time he ate something. I might need to find a new texting plan....

Chris:
  • Calf - 13 3/4 in
  • Thigh - 22 3/4 in
  • Hips - 39 3/4 in
  • Lower Abs - 36 1/2 in
  • Middle Abs - 34 3/4 in
  • Upper Abs - 34 1/4 in
  • Chest - 39 in
  • Arm - 13 1/4 in
  • Neck - 15 in

Total Weight 175.5 lbs


Exercise:
  • Muay Thai w/Abs - 1 hour

Food Journal:

  • Snack: 16 fruit bites (before gym)
  • Breakfast: 1 slice of ham; oatmeal w/applesauce
  • Snack: protein shake w/banana (on the drive to work)
  • Snack: handful of almonds; apple fruit leather
  • Lunch: few pieces of meat & cheese from appetizer tray; sirloin burger w/cheese, green chile, tomato & pickle
  • Snack: apple; V8
  • Snack: 12 fruit bites
  • Snack: 3 slices deli ham
  • Dinner: whole wheat spaghetti w/bison meatballs

* Needs some improvement... Too many "snacks" and we need to add protein with any carbs eaten. Where are the veggies??? This is going to be a tough one for a man who doesn't like his vegetables.

  • Stretch & warm-up 10 min
  • Alt Db Chest Press - 3x17 20 lbs
  • 4 way Lunge w/Db - 3x10 15 lbs
  • frwd/lat. Hurdle Hop - 3x12 each
  • Hip Machine ext. - 3x17 80 lbs
  • Shoulder Routine - 3x17 10/8 lbs
  • single leg toe touch on disk - 3x17 each
  • Leg Press - 3x17 100 lbs
  • Modified Pullups - 3xMAX 12total
  • mb slams - 3x25 15 lbs
  • Jump Rope 15min.

Food Journal:

  • Breakfast: oatmeal w/applesauce; 2 boiled egg whites
  • Snack: protein shake
  • Lunch: turkey breast, black beans, spinach; 1/2 sweet potato w/salt, pepper, cinnamon
  • Snack: 1/2 c. low-fat cottage cheese w/1/2 c. fresh mixed fruit
  • Snack: South Beach Diet protein bar
  • Dinner: 1 can of tuna; steamed broccoli; 6 prunes

*Feeling very tired again. I think I might be working out too much. I have started to cut back on my workouts this week to see how I feel. Is there such a thing as over-training?

And, do you put the egg whites in the applesauce?
