Ryleigh wanted to have a Slumber Party for her 8th Birthday.

We compromised with a "Late-Over".

She invited 7 of her closest girlfriends - 2 of which are cousins.

No birthday cake here - she wanted a fudge bar.

What a fun-filled night.
The girls had a blast! Lots of giggling, squealing okay screaming and of course what is a birthday without a few tears. Ryleigh doesn't like it when things don't go exactly her way - she had a couple melt-downs but quickly recovered.

Elle got to go on a special date with daddy to dinner and a movie during the party. She was able to join in on some fun toward the end but quickly retired to mom & dad's room where she crashed and was out for the count.

Found out some interesting things about a few girls...

• chocolate was given up for Lent
  
• one girl is getting a tattoo as soon as she turns 18
• bubble gum was given up for Lent
• a description on how a dad acts when he is drunk - same girl who is getting a tattoo
  
• DS was given up for Lent

I am so grateful Ryleigh has so many great friends - even if she is a bit bossy and emotional at times - these girls still love her and we love them.
